It combines SSL’s transformer-balanced mic preamp, signature dynamics, and dual-mode EQ into one powerful unit. With Jensen transformer technology, discrete Class A VCA circuitry, and modern routing flexibility, the Revival 4000 gives every source that unmistakable SSL weight and polish.

Classic Console Architecture

• Transformer-Balanced Mic Preamp: Uses the same Jensen JT-115K-E transformer found in the original 4000 E consoles for pure, detailed tone with deep low end and silky top end.

• One-Knob De-Esser: The 4000 B-series de-esser offers smooth sibilance control with a 10:1 ratio and 7 kHz sidechain filter — perfect for vocals, cymbals, and bright instruments.

• Discrete Class A Dynamics Section: Faithfully models the original 4000 E’s compressor and gate, featuring soft/hard knee modes, fast attack, and selectable release curves for total dynamic control.

• 4-Band Parametric EQ: Dual-mode design lets you switch between the “Brown Knob (02)” and “Black Knob (242)” EQs. The Brown mode offers warm, musical curves, while the Black mode provides precise, punchy tone shaping with steeper filters.

• Advanced Routing Options: Includes a balanced insert point, external sidechain input/key, and stereo link functionality for flexible studio integration.
