Use atleast 3 or more per item for stabilty. Use the total weight of the item and divide by 20 to get how many pucks you need.  They come in packs of 2 for easy multiples of 4,6 8 etc..  For example a 50 lbs speaker will work fine with 3 pucks under it.  A 70 Lbs speaker will need atleast 4 under it. A pair of 70lbs ea speakers would need 8 pucks = 4 x 2 packs.
