Hard, flat wall surfaces are among the most common sources of acoustic problems in any room. Sound bouncing off untreated walls creates echo, flutter echo, and reverberation that degrades intelligibility in speech environments and muddies the mix in recording and listening spaces. Traditional cloth-wrapped acoustic panels solve the acoustic problem but often clash with the design of the room.

The Primacoustic EcoScapes Slat Wall takes a different approach — acoustic performance in a panel that looks like an architectural feature. The wood veneer slat design integrates naturally into modern, minimalist, and commercial interiors. Visitors typically have no idea they are looking at acoustic treatment.

How It's Built

Construction starts with a 0.35" (9mm) thick black PET acoustic panel that provides the primary sound absorption — reducing echo and reverberation across a wide frequency range. Wooden slats are bonded across the face of the panel, and a natural wood veneer layer is applied to the slat surface to complete the look. The result is a panel that absorbs sound through the gaps between slats while the wood veneer delivers a refined, high-end appearance.

The PET core contains up to 50% post-consumer recycled content. It is inert, non-toxic, and odorless. Panels are fully recyclable at end of life, and manufacturing offcuts are recycled where possible. VOC-free. LEED compliant.
