The SB-5 features an integrated input cable that connects from your device's headphone output via a flexible 1.5m (5') cable. This cable is terminated with a standard 3.5mm (1/8") stereo connector and is securely clamped in place with strain relief. The sidewinder cleat allows for easy cable storage and eliminates the hassle of searching for a separate cable, making it perfect for fast-paced work environments.

Inside the SB-5, the signal is routed through custom wound transformers that lower the impedance and balance the signal for long cable runs of up to 100 meters (300'). These transformers also provide isolation between your computer and the PA system, effectively eliminating ground loops and minimizing hum and buzz. For additional ground noise reduction, a ground lift switch is included.

The SB-5 offers output flexibility, allowing you to choose between stereo ¼" TRS jacks for full stereo operation or an XLR output that sums the left and right signals to mono. This mono output option can save valuable PA channels and simplify setup in situations where full stereo reproduction is not needed. An input pad with a -15dB option is also available, allowing you to reduce sensitivity and connect high-output sources without distortion.
